Outrigger Placement & Configuration
Proper Pad Contact
Critical Requirement: Outrigger pads MUST have full contact with ground. Any void = 100% failure risk.
How to Verify:
- Lower outriggers onto pads
- Check for gaps (wiggle test)
- Shim any gaps with steel plates
- Verify full contact across entire pad
- Tighten lock pins fully
Shimming Technique
When Shimming Is Required:
