Critical Pre-Lift Inspection (Before Every Single Lift)

Crane Structure:

- ✓ Visibility adequate for operation
Ground Conditions:
- ✓ Surface stability tested with probe
- ✓ No mud, water, or soft spots
- ✓ Ground level (no slopes under crane)
- ✓ Ground capacity documented
- ✓ Settlement risk assessed
Load Area:
- ✓ Area beneath load clear of personnel
- ✓ Exclusion zone established (1.5x load height)
- ✓ Work area uncluttered
- ✓ Proper clearance from obstacles
- ✓ Spotter positioned (if required)
Load & Rigging Assessment
Load Inspection:

- ✓ Center of gravity marked/understood
- ✓ Load balanced (no off-center heavy spots)

- ✓ Lifting lugs/points inspected
- ✓ Load secured (won't shift during lift)
